#RESPONDUS LOCKDOWN DOWNLOAD INSTALL#
If you are using a Mac, click on Do you need the Mac version, then select Install Now. The version will be displayed, and you will be able to download a newer version if one is available.
If you are using a Windows operating system, select Install Now. To verify you are running the latest version, start Respondus LockDown Browser and select About from the toolbar, and then click Check for Update. This will take you to the Respondus Lockdown Browser download page. To use the Browser Extension when taking an assessment, log into Blackboard Learn and navigate to the exam that requires LockDown Browser. Select the Download Respondus Lockdown Browser link. Select Add to Chrome to install the LockDown Browser Extension. The LockDown Browser installation link will direct you to the Chrome web store. If you attempt to open Blackboard with a standard browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc. Click on the click here link to start the download. In order to take the test, the student must download, install and launch Respondus Lockdown Browser. Download/Install Respondus LockDown Browser Here (not compatible with Chromebooks) When this screen appears click Install Now: Depending on the browser and operating system you’re using, you may be given choices to either Save or Run choose Save if available. Once you login, find the Respondus LockDown Browser module on the Blackboard page.
Log into the Chromebook and start Google Chrome then log into Blackboard.
#RESPONDUS LOCKDOWN DOWNLOAD HOW TO#
This Knowledge Article will show how to download and install the Respondus LockDown Browser on a Chromebook. Once it is installed, you do not have to install it again for a different assessment. You will only need to use this browser to login to Blackboard when taking an assessment that uses the LockDown Browser. Once installed, you will use this application to login to Blackboard whenever you take an assessment that uses the LockDown Browser. Students will need to download and install the LockDown browser onto your device in order to access assessments that use the LockDown Browser.
When the LockDown Browser is applied, students will be unable to print, capture screen content, go to URL's or access other applications while taking assessments. Faculty have the option of applying the Respondus LockDown Browser to assessments given in Blackboard.
